Gamification of business and pretty much all aspects of life has been one of the hottest trends in recent years yet few metrics exist that quantify reach and efficacy. InvestGame has now published what it calls a "first-ever systematic review" of the global gamification industry, primarily utilized on education technology, fitness and wellness, and entertainment and social platforms, reports Cyprus Mail. An InvestGame executive notes, "gamified consumer apps built on explicit progression mechanics have generated more than $20.7 billion across 208 transactions since 2020," writes CM. The conclusion is gamification practices have achieved a deeper footprint than previously thought. Progression mechanics refer to methods that use a reward-based system to encourage users to reach certain milestones and lead them toward end-game goal achievement.
